I'm not good enough. I can't understand the things God does. They are too great. I can't know what God is doing unless He reveals it to me. It's all God. Not me. Nothing can be done on my own. I can't make all the decisions for myself BY myself. I want to be used by God so badly that sometimes I try too hard. I try to do it without Him. I try to find ways to fix or accomplish things without talking to Him first. But sometimes I need to sit back and look at it all. He knows what He is doing. He has a plan. If He wants to use me He will. He will show me what He wants me to do. But I can do nothing worth while on my own. It doesn't work. If it's not a part of God's plan it won't happen. Just a little reminder I need from God every once in a while.

Little Jessica! :) That's a very good reminder, and something that God has to keep showing me over and over... It's very true that we can't do anything on our own. I just wanted to point out that even though we're pretty much worthless, once we've got Jesus, there's a lot that can be done through us (because of Him, not us). Check out Romans 8:37 "Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us" Or 2nd corinthians 12:10 which says "For when I am weak, then I am strong" And of course the ever-famous Phillipians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
I tend to swing from one extreme to the other. At times I think way more highly of myself than I ought, but then at other times I tend to discredit myself so much that I unwittingly discredit the work that God wants to do through me. There is a healthy balance of knowing that amazing things are possible, but it's all God and not any of our doing. Be confident in following God, knowing that He gets the credit for everything that is accomplished!
